Banyan Tree. The banyan is one of the world’s largest trees, growing up to 200 metres wide and 30 metres tall, with aerial roots that eventually become separate trunks. In Bali the banyan is known as the “king of trees”, is seen as a symbol of eternal life, and considered sacred, believed to house spirits.
